Hi hi :)
I'm back in Ipoh during the weekends. So I thought of blogging before I nomad back to Kampar. Currently in the midst of completing assignments and in less than 2 weeks time, its mid-term test alrd. Soo fast!! Omo.
Anyways, Thursday was a cheerful day. :) While having break in between classes, my uni friends and I went to the library. While waiting for time to pass, I received a text from my housemate 'neighbour', Mae Jean, saying 'Hello. Later lunch together!' So we did. :) Just like the week before but at a different venue. This time, she suggested Sushi King and off we went. She said she was full after waiting for me since 11 (cos my class ended at 1.30) but when we arrived there.....she ate like a Pig! Haha. Since we both happen to like tempura, we shared a set together besides eating sushi off the sushi belt. Yum yums! It was great meal. Hees. :D (As long as I didn't think too much of the price of food). Nyek nyeks. After that, we decided to walk around Tesco to so called 'digest food'. I dunno how but we ended up doing nonsense. Besides some silly things, we started smelling all kinds of shampoo, lotions etc just like those doggies. Aiyoo. Haha. Later, I helped her choose a pair of flip flops and tried finding her slipper size also (which there was none cos of her kici mayung feet. Aduii, around size 3 and 4 leh! Omo). At last, she got a pair of zebra flip flops for rm5 (within her proposed budget. haha) We bought toilet clorax also. There were 2 pieces in it so we decided one for me, one for her simply because she likes to see the blue colour in her toilet bowl. I kinda like it too. But what an excuse to buy things. Haha!
A day earlier, my uni assignment partners made plans for Thursday evening too. So I fetched them from their houses on that day (since I was the only one wif 'modern transport' = car. hoho). We then went to settle our textbook orders. That was our main 'objective' of meeting up actually - To go order our textbooks together. Haha :) And since we were already out together, we decided to try out a new café nearby as well. Before this, four of us have been having breakie and lunch meals at the uni cafeteria almost everyday except Fridays. So that was our first time eating outside. :) Since it was served in those mini steamboat pots, we ordered tomyam and curry. Shared ler.
By the time I reach home, it was quite late alrd. I thought over and realized how I did nothing productive for the day except attend my classes. When I think of how much $$ flow out of my pocket for that day also, T.T..I don't want to think about it too much.:S At the same time, I had an enjoyable day too. :) It was one of those days where I did nothing but felt cheerful as well. Makes sense? Hehees. At least, I had an outing once with my uni freinds although it was just dinner (missing one member tho). I also discovered happiness in sharing food. It really doubles the happiness.:)) Not only one gets to try different dishes but the amount of $$ splits too! I get to save some $$. Hehe. :) Ehh, come uni starting to feel the pinch of negative cash flow already. Talk about getting hit hard on the head with reality! Gee gee gee. That's why I always return to my 'chap fan' category everyday where I save most. :) Thursday was an exception!
Okies. That's all for now. Bye blogsphere.

Anyeong!
I'm watching this now. Hees :D
Its called *look above*, My Love From Another Star. The drama's a recent mega hit when it was telecast in Korean channels but I've just started watching it. I'm on episode 2 only but suddenly find it niceee lor. :D I wasn't drawn into watching it earlier but I think I've had a change of heart!! (or is that a change of mind??!) Anyways, I got it transferred to my hard disk from my mom's hard disk wan so I don't need to wait for the video to load. Hehe. The wifi speed in Kampar is likeasnail wan. I don't think I can load vids with the unstable wifi connection at my Kampar residence. Luckily I've found something to look forward to when I can't go online. Oohoo! :)
My classes has officially come to an end of Week 2 and Monday comeee, its gonna be Week 3. *feel like inserting the Whatsapp emoticon with the one that has the 'Gee Gee Gee' feeling when I see it* The teeth-clenching one! Gee gee gee.
So far, I'm quite contented wif my rented room despite the daily 'visits' from my kingdom Animalia friends and the slightly leaking roof. Haha. To be more specific, the Insecta kingdom. My few housemates that I met have been very nice to me for the past two weeks also, especially two of them. They took me out for a movie, pm and dinner a few times. Gomawo. :) For my course, assignments are heading my way. Since I have 6 subjects this sem, there's 5 group assignments now. One individual one later. Aahs! FA1 assignment, how to do ler.
My daily concern now also : Banana me. Everyone speaks in mandarin wan here so I need to speak too. Speaking in mandarin as far as my vocab permits, getting mixed up with the Cantonese slang and inserting English words whenever my mandarin 'resources' fails. I feel like my tongue's tangled by the end of the day. Haha. But nvm, I shall Hwaitingg!! In what we call in uni as broadening one's soft skills competency!! Wkaka :) Above it all, I want to understand what people are saying in mandarin esp those lengthy conversations instead of just listening passively to them oni while spending half the time trying to figure out what they're saying. Omo.

Form 6
Many said it’s a tough road, some considered it as their last option, others
never had that as part of their plan after spm.
Then, who are the ones who came here? Some were obliged by our parents, some chose to stay on after secondary school, some didn’t have better alternatives or had nowhere else to go, some didn’t know where to go or what to pursue next after finishing spm, some came here because of the inexpensive education, some seek for the recognition leading to various opportunities that may follow, some saw it as a challenge in oppose to the general stigma of its pre-university education standards. All of the above I think, is undeniably in general, true.
So we were the guinea pigs under the new tri-semester system. The first batch. The pioneers! Ahems.
The truth is, it took me quite some time to adjust to everything. The new school, the new environment, the demanding syllabus, the new people and so on. In Lower 6, there were times when I felt small, lost, uncertain, butterflies in my stomach and just plain blur about many things. I was just one of those students adapting ‘here and there’. It was upper 6 that open my eyes to the fact that I am actually happy to be here and indeed very thankful that I chose to do my pre-U here, in ACS. (Actually it was my very own choice to come here from the start. Hehee).
I know its quite late to post about Form 6. But I still wana blog about it. nyehehe. :) So a summary of what my Form 6 life was like :
Prefects. I think I was almost always a prefect. In ACS, I think the best lessons I've learnt from were during the probationary period. It was the time when I was busiest, enjoyed myself tremendously but also felt very stressed up about my priorities. Many times, I felt a sense of regret for being so actively involve in this board that I wondered why I joined prefects in the first place. Huhu. Also because we were called in for the compulsory committee interview, I opted for a behind-the-scene post aka as a secretary but BAM! Was given the post to deal with people upfront everyday. Zzz.
Unlike MGS, being a prefect here is different. Many teachers disregard the prefects here as an ineffective student disciplinary board and also pinpoint that among us, there were many black sheeps. And that's the difference. The board here was less rigid and open doors to many students giving them an opportunity to be a prefect. Its not better nor worse but different. It was in the end a good place to learn. :) The short stint that I had with Ms Josephine who was the assembly teacher-in-charge in Lower 6 was a great guidance for me throughout the following year as a LHP. I really thank her for that. :) I guess in the end, joining this board had its pros and cons. Furthermore, a few of my quite close buddies belonged to the board too so that's a Pro. YAY! :)
Time. Time was a very precious commodity. There's really not much time during the weekdays once there's classes, tuitions, weekly compulsory labwork, semester assignments, staybacks after school hours and homework to juggle everyday. It’s like Form 5 lor. So I had this habit of counting the number of hours I get to sleep every night before I go to bed back then. Haha. If I’m lucky, I get 6 hours of sleep. If not, I get 4 to 5 hours daily. Maybe its considered a lot already for a student. I don’t know. Huhu. But I spent lots of time outside going back and forth to tuitions; attending tuitions. If I have the chance, I took really quick naps in between. Naps are like a school-day luxury. :)
When I’m at home, I work on my endless pile of MUET homework – The major source of homework. Aahs. During holidays, we usually have assignments and lots of MUET homework too. Sokleng’s class no MUET homework at all under her teacher so can you imagine! So holidays aren’t really ever holidays for my class. Hmfs hmfs. The only reason why I was always so determined to finish MUET in particular was because Ms. Mindy, my Muet teacher, will erupt into volcanoes if we don’t hand them up on time. One big problem of all about time though lies with me. I have really poor poor time management skills. :( I really have to try to buck up on this area.
I joined afew stuffs for co-curriculum but I think overall, I was actually quite passive in ACS except carrying out my assigned prefect duties. I enjoyed being part of the badminton club. All we usually do is play for awhile and get free ‘Sauna’ later since no fans there plus its indoors. I joined the mix-doubles badminton compe with my deputy too, Aron, and we were so ‘lucky’ to get a draw in our first round against the mix-doubles pair who emerge as champions for that category. My Maths teacher and a student. So embarrassing. Hahaha.
I also joined scouts. My favourite scouting moment was probably helping out the juniors during their annual year camp. Helping to tie knots, going for mamak for breakfast and sitting under the scorching sun in the middle of the field surrounded by bamboos having a heart-to-heart talk. It was a memorable dayy. :D The rest, we mostly sat indoors during our meetings. Ohh, it was through scouts that I passed my first-aid test course too. Yipees! However, the certificate is valid for three years only. I was also part of GBP which represents the Student Body but we didn’t do much in this society.
I was in the Bio class. I took General Paper, Bio, Chem and Maths T. Every subject was difficult during different sems. The syllabus covers quite a lot, so it can be tough. However, it was interesting and challenging also though. For General Paper, we studied anything for our core topics and anything extra to improve our general knowledge ler. Some of the things we learnt are about the GE process, how our nation is governed, national policies and leading global movements. Since we cover the fundamentals, all this things that we come across in the news daily finally makes a lot of sense to me. Yehh! :D For bio, chem and maths, there are times when I really liked it and times when I don't feel like touching the book at all. Depending on my mood and whether I understand or not. Heheha.
For the two science subjects as well, we get the chance to do a lot of labwork. We have to share certain apparatuses but we still get to do them individually. It was fun testing and identifying the properties of chemicals for chemistry. Bio was not so fun for me somehow. Huhu. We have assignments on a semester basis too but we still survived nonetheless. I liked my Muet group very much too cos we have lots of irrelevant things to talk about when we got together as a group. It consisted of me, Kiir, Xiang and Anthony. I think all in all, we really work together well as a team despite our differences. We're also the only group that were grouped together by teacher herself and we had this motto, “Just freestylee”. Haha. We all did okay at last and the day we finished MUET exam, we lepak-ed at old town for breakfast happily. Wkaka. :)
Teachers. I had a dedicated Maths T teacher, Pn Kwan, someone I’d look up to in Form 6 and feel sorry to disappoint when I did badly for maths. Really. Huhu. Then there’s a stricter teacher but has a soft spot for us all the same like Ms Mindy, my Muet teacher. She's the one who knows us best. There are teachers who didn’t care much as to what we do in class too and those are the classes where we created a lot of chatter noise. Regardless, all the teachers who have taught me in form 6 are all of whom I’m grateful to have. Arigatoo. :)
Friends. In lower 6, I had one or two friends that I often stick too, others I just knew here and there. It was upper 6 that took a drastic U-turn. I got to know almost all of my classmates in person and knew them much better by the end of the year that I wish I didn’t have to leave Form 6 so soon. 6AE’s cool and unique cos we have all kinds of people in it actually. Kaka. Studious, weird, shy, talkative, loud, strange, noisy, crazy and a bit of everything altogether. Just like rojak lo. :D I met some really nice friends around in ACS whom I felt totally comfortable to speak out my thoughts at ease, went on several gang outings when we were free, had spontaneous yumchas especially on Fridays, played card games like Uno and the ‘piggy’ game during our free periods after Muet exam, lepakss, ‘played’ during chemistry lessons and so on.
I think with different clique of friends, I did different things with them. :) In ACS, I totally learn the meaning of Lepak! Hahah. I had a few really bitter experiences too that made me learned about people, my own beliefs and to stand on my own feet. I also want to say this, I’ve change my perspective of guys a little. Actually, I always have this negative impression on them (excluding within my family circle. I also dunno why), but after getting to know some of them in Form 6, although I still feel awkward if I had to deal with guys personally, I think actually they can be really weird but surprisingly really nice and soft at heart too sometimes. :) All in all, I think the my friends in Form 6 are a friendly, happy, nice bunch. :)
In the end, how tough Form 6 is depends on the person. For me, it was like two to three levels up higher from spm. It was a tough ride but in the end, I still learnt quite a fair bit. I'm not sure as to how much Form 6 impacted me or if it mold a significant change in me, but deep down, I know the answer to an extent, it does.

Bits, of late
I received my UTAR offer letter last week.
I drove down to Kampar to check out my accommodation yesterday morning. Its my first experience driving on an 'almost-highway-like' road accompanied by my dad by my side and mom at the backseat. The accommodation is decent (from what we saw) but I still felt a tinge of sadness that I'm gonna leave home soon although its not that far away from home. Just a 40 minute drive back to Ipoh. I guess studying in Form 6 made me a much 'home-lier' person than I thought I was. :/ On the bright side, I hope to have good housemates. Hope they're nice. :)
24th April. Received my overall results for STPM. I should just say here. Its definitely not 4 flat. Its actually way off the perfect score or even a decent average score. I got 1B+, 2Bs and 1C. I guess getting my initial for a grade isn't a good thing at all. Of course I feel the big fat regret. Partially for my half-hearted attempts and mostly because of my lack of focus throughout Form 6. A big portion of it as the latter. It was really my fault for not being able to overcome those shortcomings. Aihs. However, in terms of my experience gained in Form 6, I wouldn't trade that with anything else. :) In fact, if given a chance, I would certainly like to re-live my Form 6 life with a better grasp of what to expect but it's just a thought, reflective but actually insignificant at this point alrd.
Leaving that aside, I went shopping with my mom today.:)) Really shopping. :D Given the freedom to shop, without feeling guilty of keeping others waiting (aka my dad. HAHA), we did so cos dad wasn't wif us. We bought a lot of stuffs, a new iron, kettle, curtains and clothes. I've never tried out so many clothes in my life before. Hehhee. We were even lucky that what was on our shopping list was on sales. Bedsheets and pillows. It was a 1 hour promotional deal and it saved us some cash. :)) Mom must have spent a lot (thankiuu) and she said jokingly that its a pay forward sum which I'll have to deduct from my bank account and repay her back later in the future (when I'm older). Haha. :P
Ohya, lately, I love eating things that 'explodes' in my mouth. YUMSS. Like the cherry tomato on a hot plate, the yellow bun sold at dimsums and peanut butter doraeyaki. How it bursts and the fillings slowly fill my entire 'mouth cavity'. Wkakaka. But the catch is to eat it and not spill it all over the place. I happened to dirty my shirt while eating doraeyaki today at Jusco food court. Two kids at the next table where their parents went off to buy food got off their seats and came close by to watch as the peanut butter spilled onto my shirt and I tried wiping it off. Aiyoo. I got some 'funny' and curious looks from people who happened to glance at me or look at my tees in particular. The best part was I shopping all over Jusco with that shirt. Haha.
The other day, I bought 3 jeans too. I like the colours. But aahs, why are their pockets made to be fitting in a way that its just too small to fit my wallet, car keys and handphone in it. Or more like, my wallet is too big and bulky maybe. Why can't they design bigger pockets? That's why I actually prefer wearing those loose pants though people always ask me why I wear them? My Muet teacher said aiyoo, crystal, again. En Li tells me that her friends used to ask her why I always wear pyjamas to tuition back then. Aish. Actually cos its comfy and convenient ma though it may look abit sloppy. :P And I feel safe with the foreknowledge of having my wallet and everything kept tucked in the pockets of my pants.
Other than that, I thought I could kinda 'curi tulang' or be excused from completing my work at my dad's office too. However, dad said I must finish up everything before I leave for uni cos I can't get a job half done and leave it for the next person to finish it. It will be a mess. Noooohhh. Sobsob. But I have to because it makes sense. I'm an unofficial staff. I start work anytime I like, I do work when I want to, I read newspapers during office hours. Wkaka. But I guess in the end, work is work. Omies.
I wish to resolve one thing before I leave uni too.. Time really does tell. When there's no proper advice to take heed and no sure way of dealing with a matter, time is really the best remedy to everything. After yesterday, I think I've done all I can within my parameters.
Also, it was Pei San's birthday that day. Christmasss in April. :D She's a really nice person and friend that I met in Form 6. A major part of my Form 6 memories were with her, so thankiu doink. She'll not read this but gomawo. :)
Days are counting, I should not waste 'em! My holidays I mean. Wonk wonks! :)

Wonk wonks! :)

Take 5
Okay. I've decided to write as much as I can within 5 minutes and post this. Hehehheee :D
One. Its 12.15am. Its funny how I've been using English my whole life but I still come across a page from a book without knowing the contents of that whole page after re-reading it numerous times. Aiks!
Next. Final results will be out on 24th and it will officially be the end of Form 6.
Third, I've one minute left to go. I got a new Sony lappie. Hees :D
Lastly, I dunno what drama to watch at the moment but I feel a lil' sien and the exhausted feeling lately. For no apparent reason, maybe its because I stay too much at home. When was the last time I exercise? 7 months maybe. Omo.
Whops, exceeded the time limit by 1,2,3.
Goodnight world. Welcome dreamland! :)

Miao Miao City
Playing Daft Punk- Get Lucky on youtube now. Although its quite an old song, I suddenly like the song for its simplicity and upbeatness. Wkaka. "The Voice: Kids" have lots of amazing voices on the show too. So talented.
Since I haven't blog bout my previous trip, I'm gonna blog bout my two Sarawak trips in Dec and April.
My recent trip, around 10 days, was relaxing and enjoyable. We went there mainly for qing ming actually but as a vacation too. :) Our relatives took the time off from work just to bring us around everyday and keep us occupied all the time. It was really nice of them to do so and it makes me feel touched that my mom's side relatives are always so knitted together as a family. This trip was an outing spree from morning til night everyday. Albeit tiring, it was enjoyable.
I tagged along with my relatives while they went for some traditional massage therapy at two different places. I didn't kena urut of cos but I go observed only while they cringe in pain. But it was really interesting to see how it works. Hahhaha. We also went for window shopping at the many newly-opened shopping malls despite the small crowd of shoppers, had late night suppers at food courts (Food Court 101 is the best), got sunburnt one side after spending the whole day with the necessary rituals for qing ming (cos I kept facing the sun on one side), tried out many new delicacies and food, visit a night market, travelled to green mountain temple, attended many family dinner treats, bonded with my cousins and aunties, babysit my little baby cousins and went around town filling our time. Before I know it, 10 days were already up. Neways, I didn't know babysitting kids was that energy-consuming. When they're playful and energetic, it can be really tiring to keep up with them but as they suddenly fall asleep or keep quiet, its really does feel odd that they're making no noise.
My previous Sarawak trip in Dec was a special one too. We went there for two weeks so we had more time to do things. Aside from planning for my cousin's big day (her wedding) and attending that function, we had the chance to go on a long bumpy road trip stopping at many small towns on the way (I oso dun remember all the places alrd) but it was a memorable trip because it was a different experience which almost felt like an agricultural homestay trip. I remembered my butt aching while travelling on those bumpy, small roads since I was sitting at the last row of the van and there were potholes in those roads along the way to Sarikei. We spend two nights at my aunt's family's house in Sarikei. We got to pluck our own fresh fruits of many varieties, ate a bunch of them, trek through those lush vegetation plantation areas and had a big feast. After the feast, I remember feeling so full that I bathed and went straight to sleep after that. Hahha. What to do, we were staying in a place surrounded by forest anyway. Other than that, we stayed a night at Damai beach, met up for a few family gatherings for different occassions, celebrated christmas and four birthdays including my mom's which was homemade bbq. Yummy! :) And also, overnight at my family home which is also my closest cousins' house.
I dunno when my next trip will be but I will definitely treasure these memories. I always feel a little heavy-hearted after my trip to Sarawak is over mainly because I love the noise and company there.:) Despite the language barrier wif my aunties, I think my mandarin also improve slightly after my recent trip. Haha.=) Somehow, the older I grow up, the more I realise how I appreciate my holiday trips to Sarawak. Maybe because I feel that as we're growing up, the less chances we'll have to go on family trips like these. Especially for a long period. Like how only my parents and I went for this trip when it was the whole family last time. Neways, I had a a great time over there. :D
I've also submitted my applications for uni already. Somehow, I can feel one chapter of my life is closing and a new one is about to start. I haven't blog about form 6 yet also. Aahs. One day I will.:)
Currently in the midst of the final two episodes of To The Beautiful You which is actually showing on 8tv too but its only quarterway through. Its actually the Korean version of Hanakimi (the taiwan version starring Wu Chun and its a drama which I really liked last time). So it shares the same basic storyline of a girl disguising as a boy in a boy's school to meet the athletic high jump star. Similarly, this version is really cheerful and funny. Hahaha.:) I absolutely like the 2nd guy lead and main girl's friendship becos its just realli cute and cheerful. Wkaka. :D But the main guy lead is cool too. Hehee. However, the only problem with this drama is that it certainly falls short in terms of plot and character development in some ways compared to my other favourite dramas or the Taiwan version. Still, its worth watching and really heartwarming. Gonna finish up the last two episodes tonight! :)

Through Their Lenses
Goodbye to maths statistics!!! Wkaka. :) I wish I had a lil' bit more time this afternoon but i guess what's done is done. All I can do is move on. Go go go! :D
Actually this post was saved as a draft for 2 days already. Neways, I was blog-hopping that day, just hoping that I'd find something new to read or updates of others. Then, I stumbled upon a random person's blog (someone who I dunno personally) and it made me realise how there are always others out there who share similar thoughts and feelings as we have. :) Even if coming across such people in real life may happen to exist in numbers of a few, one or even none at all.
That's when I discover many things through the extensive mass media in which I can relate to them in some ways or another. To me and like everyone else, I think we have different matters that truly concern us but whatever they are, one thing that's common is that it takes a deep place in our hearts. Thoughts that we ponder when we take a step back from the world and reflect on.
It encompasses our reserved feelings and thoughts that we so often wish to share with our closed ones or at least someone whom we think we'd feel safe to keep our thoughts and feelings with. But sometimes, time and distance doesn't allow us to or they're left unspoken because we choose to keep them to ourselves. For some of us, we choose to voice our feelings and thoughts on the net. Sometimes, for the mere reason of wanting to just spill those words out to feel at ease without really expecting any opinion or anything. Then there's people like me who kepoh around and find comfort in other people's thoughts. Just like earlier, I read someone's posting and it actually kinda touched my heart. To know that, I wasn't the only one who would have felt troubled under those similar circumstances (especially regarding things we always thought as petty but actually isn't).
Thanks to the random person. :)
Like in my case, generally, expressing my feelings to others is just not my forte. I dunno if its me or just something out of habit, opening up doesn't come out that easily and naturally for me. Its bad cos for this reason, I'm often misunderstood. Sometimes also, when I say something aloud, it turns out differently from what I actually want to say and thisss, is the part I find myself frustrated abit sometimes. Sounds dum dum I know, but its true. Haha. So I really feel at ease if I get to write my feelings out instead, like on a blog or somewhere. Its much easier compared to verbal face-to-face talking (unless I am in that "deep talk zone"). But like blogging, I still have to take a long time to blog cos I need to go through what I write and see if that's what I actually am trying to say. Otherwsise, re-write lor which wastes loads of time (Like this post for example). But I think after going through Form 6, I feel that I can actually open up a little bit more towards people if I feel safe and secure. I've even become much noisier and Nosier?? Loll. Kddins bout the the latter. Hehee :)
So after 2 days since I read the post, I still feel the inspiration to mention it although I dunno if there's anything significant in saying these. Like how sometimes, I feel that kind of glad, thankful feeling when a person talks to me and indeliberately say something that's on their mind which I can relate all too well and its something I thought of too but never said out aloud. How I really appreciate it when people share stories or anything with me even when I may have little or nothing to add on. How its encouraging and inspiring to find that through virtual spaces with non-verbal contexts, mass media and people on social media, there are others sharing the same thoughts and feelings as I do. It may not always describe exactly all that I think or feel but at least I get to read something that reflects me in somewhere between those lines. The thought of "So true" and "Me too" upon seeing a person's posting.
Thanks to them, I get to see myself and my world through theirs.:)
