Good Days

I shouldn't be here but I am. AAHS. Bloggie, why u attract me?

Mwehs. If there is one talent, I found mine. Anddd that's this tremendous flair for idling around at home with no meaningful purpose.. Hahah. Okies. Its not a talent right, but lets just say if it was considered as one. Hehe. U noe, I have this tendency too to scroll through and read comments posted in Youtube videos or articles when I feel like it. Its a habit that I simply can't understand. That's what I've been doing for the past hour while checking out some videos. Uiyoo.

Anyways, semester 2's almost coming to an end. Its study break now (so I really should get my head in the game). FIM FIM. Macro macro. But why am I here?? Amitaofu! I haven't been back home for 5 weeks already so maybe that explains why I'm enjoying the space and time that I have at home now. TT

Actually this post is full of rambles only so far. Whopss. Haha. So yes, I would just like to share this one thing that pretty much filled up my sem's schedule. More like, the highlight for this sem. That's, art and cultural performance. Its my compulsory subject, but really, in a way, I feel kinda glad that it was made compulsory. Huhu. My group has 17 members altogether. For the past 7 weeks, I've been seeing them in and out of class so many times cos of practices. We went to makan makan also after practices sometimes. I feel kinda blessed to be part of this group. Though we're not super duper close, I can still feel the bond that connects us all and find a sense of comfort in knowing that we've been through the ups and downs of this project together. We danced Chammak Challo, a Bollywood song. :)

During the first few weeks, around 9 of us spontaneously went to The Voice after celebrating one of our group member's b'day. Haha. If u dunno, its a K-Box place. Wkaka. We went there only around 9pm smtg so to compensate for the expensive entry and to make our $$ worthwhile, we sang till the closing time. Guess what time was that??? 2.am!! Yupp, 2.a.m. I wouldn't have stayed on so late but since Kitkat and Lee Mee was around as well and I was fetching them, I felt it was okay to be out for a late night once. Hehe. :P Plus, it was RM25 per head lehh. Goshh. (We didn't know cos it was our first time there and it was a weekend rate. TT). But still, I really enjoyed myself and had lots of fun ehh. Its the best outing I had so far wif uni peeps. :D Also, its the first time that I held the mike for so long and really sang my heart out with the rest. :)) Others i caplang hum the melody for those songs I can't sing but know of. Mandarin n Chinese songs. Nyek nyek. I miss the bus ride back to uni after performance too. The guys sang K at the back of the bus like crazy and the smiles plastered on their faces as they sang and did embarassing things. It was hilarious and entertaining. Lol. But I pity those at the front (another group) and the bus driver! Haha.

Continue wif my rambling, I really wanna watch Big Heroes 6 but I guess I'll miss the cinema screenings, so I'll have to wait for the streaming site to have it. Huhu. So many people says its nice and funny. :) I watched How To Train Your Dragon halfway too but paused in between cos I had to finish up some assignment. Haha. Gonna resume it soon. Its quite a nice film so far. I love the dragonn! :) Besides, there's this short list of animated shows that I wanna watch. Aahs.

Its not the best timing but I also discovered that Play Store has so many of my childhood games and other exciting games. Omo. Sonic Run, Metal Slug, Banana Kong, Striker what not. Those are some of the childhood games I used to play. A small thought, how come there are people who are so creative that they're able to come up with simple, small memory usage but fun apps to occupy time? Ees. I just installed some new apps. One of them is Piano Tiles. A simple n nice game. :)

Okies. I should get back to my lecture notes n exercises soon. :( Babai for now. If anyone reads this, Have a good day!! =)

October

During the holidays, I went for a short 3d 2n stay pangkor trip with my parents. Since there was no wifi access, I mostly watched TV when I was in my room. Coincidentally, Running Man was showing on 8tv and I HAHA-ed all the way. I like Running Man!!:) Besides that, I swam at the resort’s pool. It has been almost a year since I last did anything physically demanding (except unless, walking around uni from one block to another is considered physically demanding..hahaha) so it feels great to go swimming. Hehees. :D  Strangely, my whole body could float upwards facing the sky because of the bouyancy there. Hees.  Besides that, we walked along the beach and enjoyed having the company of another group of enthusiastic tourists from KL which made our trip more cheerful-er. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable trip. =)

And then last week, my family went to KL by train to visit my bro. On both occasions that I sat on the train, Catch Me If You Can was mutedly playing on tv. It stars Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hanks. I remember not feeling at all drawn by the movie when I used to be younger because of the conman concept but rewatching it again now, it was actually quite a captivating film. Imagine a boy at the age of 16 running away from a broken home and decides to be a con artist. Being chased by the FBI, he finally gets caught and imprisoned. Due to his exceptional talent in his vice however, he ends up working for the FBI to resolve other fraudulent cases involving fake cheques. Thus, based on a true story, the movie ends with a scrolling note revealing that he has helped design the bank security systems that are in place in most banks today. I guess the ending tells us that people don't always start off on the right track but may end up having exceptional stories to tell ehh.

Monday come, its going to be week 3 out of my short semester of 7 weeks. Omies. I won't be home for some time plus I'll be quite busy too. I hope our performance would turn out well. We'll have our first dance practice this Sunday. Eees. Hopefully it’ll be fun and everyone can cooperate. *fingers crossed* :) Anyways, since last semester, I have this slightly compelled feeling to be more participative in uni. Just a feeling. Vernie is doing the same course as me too so I hope she adapts here soon.

So far, I’m starting to like what I learn for this sem a little by little and I’m thankful for that. In terms of uni life, although its not short of some days that I dread, there are cheerful and good days too. :D I shall look at things positively and appreciate all the good moments that I have while knowing that those not so good days will eventually pass by. Why? Because 'Don't Sweat The Small Stuffs' teaches us so. HAHA. The author tells us this ‘Appreciate the good days and never let the bad days overwhelm you’ so, I think its a nice advice. Furthermore, the author reminds us that even the happiest people that he's known have a fair share of good and bad days. :D

Also, I really this anime piano cover by Animenz. Aahs. There is this other song that I heard my housemate played a long time ago. I wish I knew what the song was cos its epic too.  This song, 'My Dearest', it involves a lot of technical finger work and I think if I try learning to play it, I’ll still never be able to play it due to coordination problem. Hahaha. So I’ll just share the wonderful piece here. :) I wanna watch 'The Book of Life' too cos the characters looks cute. Wkaka.

Lounging at home

3 weeks passed by quickly. I know holidays will end soon and at the end of the break, I'll be asking myself like every other break, "What did I do this holidays?"

I have been going out for lunch and shopping with my mom, helping my aunt and uncle run errands and watching loads of junk on Youtube. TFIOS, POBWF, Boku No Ita Jaken and what not. Due to the poor internet connection, I usually end up watching shows midway and never got to see the ending. More like, half of the show towards the end. Aiseh. Sad casee. I've been eating chai too with my parents and tortoise buns for breakfast for the past few days. Actually, the vegetarian thingy lasts for 11 days but I really can't survive just on vege alone. Although its nice to have it once in awhile, chicken is still the best. Meat definitely beats vege hands down. Hehees.

I feel so glad that the books my bro had in his pre-U are and will be use as my main references in my uni too for the coming sems. In particular, econs n accounting. That means, I get to have the original books in coloured form. Yay! :)

Sometimes, I feel like I'm losing touch with people. Maybe its my fault or life's doings. Maybe its both. I feel a mixture of emotions about it but in the end, I know, only I myself have to deal with it.

End of sem 1

Reading those online articles and news, journalists or writers can be so bias in what they write. Even if its just a mere sentence or a section of the article, their statements are sometimes so unjust. They're insinuating rumours and groundless sweeping statements openly. Walao. The fallacy of mass media and propaganda.

On a side note, time really flies. 1 sem is over just like that.

After my last exam paper, four of us went to catch a movie at the cineplex. Hehees. Maze Runner! The show was kinda interesting. :) The plot starts off quite slowly but picked up pace later on. I shouldn’t compare it wif hunger games cos the concept’s actually different but in a way, it’s a bit similar cos of the dystopian genre feel too. Anyway, the show makes you feel like running and the Min Ho character inside there is kinda good looking. Eees. Haha. :P The shortfall is that there’s a part two of the show ler so the ending was a bit not so good. A sequel. Mwehs.

Later in the evening, we had a get-together BBQ session with our tutorial group classmates. It was held at one of my classmate's house. Cos of some stufs, we ended up having dinner only around 9 plus. We were all crazy hungry by then and quite tired cos we've been waiting to eat since 6. Haha. Plus, the host forgot to buy fork and spoons for us to use. *facepalm* Hahaha. In the end, it was still okay to get together wif everyone ler. Helping out to barbeque while someone asked me if I was previously in guides rekindles my memories of LTC times and girl guides. :) When everything was over, it was about 11 plus already so I went home to bath. The smoky smell however still stayed until the next day. Eees.

That means I'm on my sem break now. For one month. Wuuhoo! Holidaaayss! :)

Frankly, I did a lot of cram studying these two weeks for exam although I tried studying earlier. It was, I think not really a good thing because my brain feels a little jammed. Who knows how many brain cells must have died going through all that? Hoho. Although I always do that, its a habit that I seek to change cos its a bad thing to cram study. Except for QT1, I think I didn't do well for others. Hurms. Even English. :( But nvm la, it means I gotta do better next round. Much better.

I'm watching You're All Surrounded, my latest Kdrama. It feels like a breeze to watch it because it has a whole package of a light-hearted entertaining drama. Funny, heartwarming and at times, sad too. Hees. :) This drama is quite unique since it revolves around a group of rookie detectives and a legendary detective assigned to deal wif as well as curb various crimes in Gangnam. These rookies start off poorly with no intentions to be a detective but as they gradually solve crime after crime, they develop a love and pride for their job. :D Not to mention, teamwork. As the show progresses, I feel like the director's doing a good job giving each cast enough time on screen to showcase their characters' personal story and depth. :)

Going shopping later wif parents. Yipee! Yesterday, met up wif Ann too. Ate at the patisserie boutique place and later dessert at Plan B. Wkaka. :) I feel like spending my holidays productively and enjoy at the same time. I should find something to do. Hehe.

Yesterday, smtg funny happened. While my family was having dinner at the living room, my dad was talking to me. As he did, I was having my bowl of soup noodles lor. Suddenly, I felt like something black was staring at me while I was eating. When I look to my side, I saw this black thing staring at me sitting on the floor. I was like thinking to myself, 'black cat!!' and quickly got up from my chair. My dad who was halfway talking also saw it and jump out from his chair (he doesn't fancy animals like dogs or cats). Hahah. So he tried to chase it out by ushering it out the front door. But it didn't move nor run. Instead, it just sat there and stared blankly. At that time, I look at it again. And I was like 'harrh? Is that a cat or dog? Why no whiskers and no pointy ears?' That time, my dad closed the wooden door slowly to push the puppy out. At first I was shock cos I thought it was a cat. Later, when I think about it, I felt the puppy was actually really cute la cos it looks like a half dog half cat. Sumore it just sat there cutely and didn't move even when my dad usher him out. Ehehees. :)) I should snap a pic of it if it happens to lose its way here again. According to my mom, it entered our house a few days earlier so my mom had to carry it back to our neighbour's house cos she tot it was he was the owner. But since it entered my house another time, it must have been a stray puppy la.

That's it for now. Buabai blog~

This and that

I think I still have a lot of catching up to do on studies especially on accounts. Aahs! Finals for Sem 1 commences in exactly a week's time but I've been watching drama and idling away. Ohnoo. This sem, I had had this tendency of having a 'mind shutdown' during account lessons despite it being my major. TT. Don't ask me why..Whuahh. Sometimes, I feel like I've walk out of class 'empty-handed', with little or almost nil knowledge for the day. I also still find it difficult to wake up for 8a.m classes after almost the end of 14 weeks. I often rush to get myself ready before class simply because I can't and don't want to get out of bed earlier. Huhu. I wonder how can there be such a big change when I used to wake up at 5.50am everyday back in form 6..TT

Nvm nvm, when there's a will, there is definitely a way!! Right?? I gotta jiayouh liao. :))

Yesterday, I felt a lil' blue somehow. Then, I realise how I didn't get to thank all my lecturers before the start of study break. When I think of it, its such a short time they've taught me yet I had this compelled feeling to thank them. To tell you guys, I've been reading this book I borrowed from the library called 'Don't Sweat The Small Stuff'. Its just a book with lots of simple reminders about life. Each chapter is at most 3 pages long. (Now you can guess why I borrow this book aite?? Wkaka). There's nothing really outstanding about the book but there's definitely a few things that we can be reminded about through this book. I didn't get to finish a few chapters of the book though cos I returned it to the library. Haha. But one of the gentle reminders the author tells us is to thank people in our life. Maybe I'll share what I've read next time. First, let me go finish reading it dulu!!

Just the past week, it was our timetable bidding week for next sem. We did quite a bit of a planning ahead. Ann Gie, Lee Mee, Kit Kat and me. We had our plan A for timetable, plan B as an alternative, replaced our class a day earlier so that we were unoccupied during the bidding time and re-scheduled our timetable to Plan C due to a 'false alarm'. In the end, it all went to waste because we couldn't get any of the subjects that we wanted or time slots. According to the seniors, bidding session is like war. The thing is, they forgot to mention that it was an unfair war! Haha. We didn't even have a chance to choose the subjects that we want although there were so many spaces left available so we ended up having Koku which has 2 credit hours that's all. Lol. Luckily a day or two later, there were some subject options open to everyone so we chose what was remaining left and available. Sad case betull.

Later during the bidding day, the four of us headed to Bo Eight Tea to grab a milk tea each upon my suggestion. While ordering, we happened to see some board games at the front counter. We wanted to play 'Monopoly' but Kitkat discovered another game. I'm also not sure but I think its the first time I played this game. Its called 'Aeroplane' (directly translated from Mandarin). The point of this game is to be the first to have all four houses safely back 'Home'. It was quite fun and funny 'kicking' everyone back to their original starting point. Hahaha. It was like reliving those childhood moments once again. =)

On another note, my dad advised me to open my heart towards new things. To save the matters close to my heart for some other time, I actually do have a few things in mind that I wish to try given the chance. I just never acted on it. I sit on it. Hehee. Anyway, this list of things isn't really significant nor will it impact greatly on my life but its just a few things that I want to fulfill in time. A to-do list. My bucket list. Hehee. Also, I skyped with my 2nd bro last week for an hour. It felt nice because it has been so long since I really had a proper long chat with him. :)

After 3 months, my saga car is finally back in Ipoh. Woohoo! :D I forgot to mention earlier, I'm having a one week study break so that's why my car is back ler. Lastly, just wanna wish all the best to all form six students and my form six friends leaving for studies. Local U, Private U, ganbateh to everyone! :)

Tumpang Home

It was nice to have my housemate fetched me back to Ipoh. Thanks Chan Jant. :) Earlier, I was thinking if we'll have things to talk about since we haven't had much of a chance to get to know each other before this and we're just familiar around each other as housemates. I happened to tell her I felt like eating ice-cream before leaving the house and she had to go to PETRONAS, so in the end..we had ice-creams at the petrol station before heading home. Hehee. Throughout the journey, we chatted about random things in the car bout ourselves, studies, songs and stuff. Before I knew it, we were soon back at Ipoh. The journey didn't seem long at all despite a bit of a traffic jam. I guess time actually flies when one is having a good time. I kinda wish the journey home was a little longer so that our conversation didn't had to end so abruptly, so that we could have chatted more. Cos it was unexpectedly relaxing and comfortable to chat with her all the way back while my music playlist was playing on her car stereo set. Moreover, it's the first time we really had a decent conversation since we both shifted in in May. :)

Tommorow, I'm heading to Sekinchan to spend my hari raya break wif my family and relatives. Whees! I need to study too at the same time for two more mid-term papers. Aihss. But just hope I'll feel refresh and prep up for uni life again after I'm back. =)

Run Free

I wish I could go for a live concert now.

Thank you dear piano, for the comfort and refuge when I need one.

When I don't feel like telling anyone how I feel,
When I feel a surge of emotions and let it out,
When I'm bored, carefree or zoned out,
When I feel a void in my heart,
When I feel hyped up with energy and enthusiasm,
When I hear a new lovely record or track,
When that One unforgettable song gets stuck in my head,
Drumming in my ears softly; quietly; loudly,
Over and over again,
When I simply feel like listening to the rhythm of musical notes.

So I let my fingers run free,
To endless stream of music,
Removing my walls,
Brick by brick,
And let my fingers run free.

I don't play the best music,
But listening or playing it,
I feel a depth of familiarity,
Of comfort,
Of enlightenment,
Which keeps me going,
When life gets to me.

Thankiu 'hak pak' keys. U've been my 'second remedy' to my pillows, bed and blanket. :)
