Late Admissions. Hehee

I heard something really cute earlier. Wakakaa. Mom's been asked to be the hostess for my cousin's wedding reception and guess who's helping her out?? D.A.D. Voluntarily! Haha. Omo. According to dad, mom has had a flair for emcee-ing since her younger days and since she wanted to turn the invitation down this time because of her less fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, I think dad's decided to help. Hahahehe. Mom's talent still shows during our recent family gathering, celebrating the 100 days of my niece's birthday. :D

Anyways, it has been long since I updated my bloggie. How are you guys doing? I've been a little caught up with this and that. Just small little things that add up to a day's worth of time. How about you all? (if anyone still reads my blog. kekee)

Since I've missed out writing a post about last sem's happenings, I'll just touch on the bits that account for the memorable times of my last sem yehh.

For the start, CSS Eco-Friendly Campaign was my first long term event in uni. I have to say it'll be close to my heart for two reasons. Firstly, it was my first event that was quite a good experience (not the best ler. hehe. but good) and secondly, because it was this event that led me to join more events. The first 5 weeks of my previous sem was kept busy with booth duties, promoting our learning trip and attending meetings. As a secretary, my partner and I was just easy and carefree. Haha. Besides writing minutes and reports, the most tedious task was probably planning the booth duty every week. Someone should come up with an app/software to arrange time slots easily for things like these. It'll be so useful for so many occasions. Omie. My fave moment was probably booth dutying as I got to know a little of everyone in the committee and also the night we spent making customized handmade souvenirs for the trip participants and committees til 4am. It reminded me so much of camps and Girl Guides. Idk why. Note that our trip was at 7am the next day. Kaka.

Then there was this English workshop which we signed up for and another was for Energy Saving Campaign station games, part of CSS too, which a few of us volunteered to be helpers. For the latter, I didn't know what I was up for until I found out that we had to reach uni by 5.30am for duty, a day before the event. We volunteered last minute you see and the event was on a Saturday morning. Saturday morning and arriving to uni at 5.30am. *sweats* Even during the morning itself, I honestly dreaded the fact and feel a slight pang of regret for joining. It turns out, my feelings were wrong. It was the best event I've joined and I don't even know why. Haha. We signed up for the English workshop without any expectations too. There was tongue twisters challenge, group debates and testing vocabulary power. Both events turned out to be surprisingly fun!! =D  It may be true that serendipity is one of the best things ever. Sometimes, you don't know what you're looking for so you take a step further and all a sudden, you stumble upon gratification and bliss. Whether in life or uni life.

The previous sem was a great learning experience too. I appreciate Sun Zi classes eventhough its a MPU subject. For this reason also, its nice la. Cos just a pass and fail subject so I don't feel a burden at all when attending lectures. Keke. In fact, so many concepts are relatable to life and business, its pretty interesting to listen. Business Ethics debate was a good experience as well and I really appreciate our tutor and lecturer, Dr Darren, for sharing his lessons, both inside the syllabus and outside the context of textbooks.

Exams. I did study a little harder (smarter as well I hope) and earlier last sem so it turns out disappointing when I've gotten my results. The subject I studied least turns out to have a better grading than those which I put in much effort for. Weird weird me.

Because I feel like I've actually learnt, Year 2 Sem 1 was definitely one of the most memorable sem yet. =)

Now, I'm currently done with all my coursework so I'm left with 3 weeks of studies before finals approach again. Short sem does past fast. Worhh. Its time to start looking for sponsors too for a charity event. Together with my team, hoping it'll be a good learning experience as well. :) Based on the list of potential sponsors, two of us are suppose to approach the larger companies whereas the other two will look around driving distance areas and F&B companies. Sadly hah, half of the companies are companies which I haven't heard of. GG. Cos they are shoe/bag companies I think. Gonna have to look them up on the net. On the positive side, maybe it'll help me expand my apparel brand knowledge. *sweats* Haha

Some pictures to do the talking and Cheerios! =)

        Eco-friendly decoration using recycled materials.

Marine Market in the middle of Penang Sea. We took a speed boat there and fed the fishes there. It was one of the places we went during the trip. Keke.

Another event worth cherishing. RCM family. Try spotting me if u can! :)
