Bits, of late

I received my UTAR offer letter last week.

I drove down to Kampar to check out my accommodation yesterday morning. Its my first experience driving on an 'almost-highway-like' road accompanied by my dad by my side and mom at the backseat. The accommodation is decent (from what we saw) but I still felt a tinge of sadness that I'm gonna leave home soon although its not that far away from home. Just a 40 minute drive back to Ipoh. I guess studying in Form 6 made me a much 'home-lier' person than I thought I was. :/ On the bright side, I hope to have good housemates. Hope they're nice. :)

24th April. Received my overall results for STPM. I should just say here. Its definitely not 4 flat. Its actually way off the perfect score or even a decent average score. I got 1B+, 2Bs and 1C. I guess getting my initial for a grade isn't a good thing at all. Of course I feel the big fat regret. Partially for my half-hearted attempts and mostly because of my lack of focus throughout Form 6. A big portion of it as the latter. It was really my fault for not being able to overcome those shortcomings. Aihs. However, in terms of my experience gained in Form 6, I wouldn't trade that with anything else. :) In fact, if given a chance, I would certainly like to re-live my Form 6 life with a better grasp of what to expect but it's just a thought, reflective but actually insignificant at this point alrd.

Leaving that aside, I went shopping with my mom today.:)) Really shopping. :D Given the freedom to shop, without feeling guilty of keeping others waiting (aka my dad. HAHA), we did so cos dad wasn't wif us. We bought a lot of stuffs, a new iron, kettle, curtains and clothes. I've never tried out so many clothes in my life before. Hehhee. We were even lucky that what was on our shopping list was on sales. Bedsheets and pillows. It was a 1 hour promotional deal and it saved us some cash. :)) Mom must have spent a lot (thankiuu) and she said jokingly that its a pay forward sum which I'll have to deduct from my bank account and repay her back later in the future (when I'm older). Haha. :P

Ohya, lately, I love eating things that 'explodes' in my mouth. YUMSS. Like the cherry tomato on a hot plate, the yellow bun sold at dimsums and peanut butter doraeyaki. How it bursts and the fillings slowly fill my entire 'mouth cavity'. Wkakaka.  But the catch is to eat it and not spill it all over the place. I happened to dirty my shirt while eating doraeyaki today at Jusco food court. Two kids at the next table where their parents went off to buy food got off their seats and came close by to watch as the peanut butter spilled onto my shirt and I tried wiping it off. Aiyoo. I got some 'funny' and curious looks from people who happened to glance at me or look at my tees in particular. The best part was I shopping all over Jusco with that shirt. Haha.

The other day, I bought 3 jeans too. I like the colours. But aahs, why are their pockets made to be fitting in a way that its just too small to fit my wallet, car keys and handphone in it. Or more like, my wallet is too big and bulky maybe. Why can't they design bigger pockets? That's why I actually prefer wearing those loose pants though people always ask me why I wear them? My Muet teacher said aiyoo, crystal, again. En Li tells me that her friends used to ask her why I always wear pyjamas to tuition back then. Aish. Actually cos its comfy and convenient ma though it may look abit sloppy. :P  And I feel safe with the foreknowledge of having my wallet and everything kept tucked in the pockets of my pants.

Other than that, I thought I could kinda 'curi tulang' or be excused from completing my work at my dad's office too. However, dad said I must finish up everything before I leave for uni cos I can't get a job half done and leave it for the next person to finish it. It will be a mess. Noooohhh. Sobsob. But I have to because it makes sense. I'm an unofficial staff. I start work anytime I like, I do work when I want to, I read newspapers during office hours. Wkaka. But I guess in the end, work is work. Omies.

I wish to resolve one thing before I leave uni too.. Time really does tell. When there's no proper advice to take heed and no sure way of dealing with a matter, time is really the best remedy to everything. After yesterday, I think I've done all I can within my parameters.

Also, it was Pei San's birthday that day. Christmasss in April. :D She's a really nice person and friend that I met in Form 6. A major part of my Form 6 memories were with her, so thankiu doink. She'll not read this but gomawo. :)

Days are counting, I should not waste 'em! My holidays I mean. Wonk wonks! :)

Take 5

Okay. I've decided to write as much as I can within 5 minutes and post this. Hehehheee :D

One. Its 12.15am. Its funny how I've been using English my whole life but I still come across a page from a book without knowing the contents of that whole page after re-reading it numerous times. Aiks!

Next. Final results will be out on 24th and it will officially be the end of Form 6.

Third, I've one minute left to go. I got a new Sony lappie. Hees :D

Lastly, I dunno what drama to watch at the moment but I feel a lil' sien and the exhausted feeling lately. For no apparent reason, maybe its because I stay too much at home. When was the last time I exercise? 7 months maybe. Omo.

Whops, exceeded the time limit  by 1,2,3.

Goodnight world. Welcome dreamland! :)

Miao Miao City

Playing Daft Punk- Get Lucky on youtube now. Although its quite an old song, I suddenly like the song for its simplicity and upbeatness. Wkaka. "The Voice: Kids" have lots of amazing voices on the show too. So talented.

Since I haven't blog bout my previous trip, I'm gonna blog bout my two Sarawak trips in Dec and April.

My recent trip, around 10 days, was relaxing and enjoyable. We went there mainly for qing ming actually but as a vacation too. :) Our relatives took the time off from work just to bring us around everyday and keep us occupied all the time. It was really nice of them to do so and it makes me feel touched that my mom's side relatives are always so knitted together as a family. This trip was an outing spree from morning til night everyday. Albeit tiring, it was enjoyable.

I tagged along with my relatives while they went for some traditional massage therapy at two different places. I didn't kena urut of cos but I go observed only while they cringe in pain. But it was really interesting to see how it works. Hahhaha. We also went for window shopping at the many newly-opened shopping malls despite the small crowd of shoppers, had late night suppers at food courts (Food Court 101 is the best), got sunburnt one side after spending the whole day with the necessary rituals for qing ming (cos I kept facing the sun on one side), tried out many new delicacies and food, visit a night market, travelled to green mountain temple, attended many family dinner treats, bonded with my cousins and aunties, babysit my little baby cousins and went around town filling our time. Before I know it, 10 days were already up. Neways, I didn't know babysitting kids was that energy-consuming. When they're playful and energetic, it can be really tiring to keep up with them but as they suddenly fall asleep or keep quiet, its really does feel odd that they're making no noise.

My previous Sarawak trip in Dec was a special one too. We went there for two weeks so we had more time to do things. Aside from planning for my cousin's big day (her wedding) and attending that function, we had the chance to go on a long bumpy road trip stopping at many small towns on the way (I oso dun remember all the places alrd) but it was a memorable trip because it was a different experience which almost felt like an agricultural homestay trip. I remembered my butt aching while travelling on those bumpy, small roads since I was sitting at the last row of the van and there were potholes in those roads along the way to Sarikei. We spend two nights at my aunt's family's house in Sarikei. We got to pluck our own fresh fruits of many varieties, ate a bunch of them, trek through those lush vegetation plantation areas and had a big feast. After the feast, I remember feeling so full that I bathed and went straight to sleep after that. Hahha. What to do, we were staying in a place surrounded by forest anyway.  Other than that, we stayed a night at Damai beach, met up for a few family gatherings for different occassions, celebrated christmas and four birthdays including my mom's which was homemade bbq. Yummy! :) And also, overnight at my family home which is also my closest cousins' house.

I dunno when my next trip will be but I will definitely treasure these memories. I always feel a little heavy-hearted after my trip to Sarawak is over mainly because I love the noise and company there.:) Despite the language barrier wif my aunties, I think my mandarin also improve slightly after my recent trip. Haha.=) Somehow, the older I grow up, the more I realise how I appreciate my holiday trips to Sarawak. Maybe because I feel that as we're growing up, the less chances we'll have to go on family trips like these. Especially for a long period. Like how only my parents and I went for this trip when it was the whole family last time. Neways, I had a a great time over there. :D

I've also submitted my applications for uni already. Somehow, I can feel one chapter of my life is closing and a new one is about to start. I haven't blog about form 6 yet also. Aahs. One day I will.:)

Currently in the midst of the final two episodes of To The Beautiful You which is actually showing on 8tv too but its only quarterway through. Its actually the Korean version of Hanakimi (the taiwan version starring Wu Chun and its a drama which I really liked last time). So it shares the same basic storyline of a girl disguising as a boy in a boy's school to meet the athletic high jump star. Similarly, this version is really cheerful and funny. Hahaha.:) I absolutely like the 2nd guy lead and main girl's friendship becos its just realli cute and cheerful. Wkaka. :D But the main guy lead is cool too. Hehee. However, the only problem with this drama is that it certainly falls short in terms of plot and character development in some ways compared to my other favourite dramas or the Taiwan version. Still, its worth watching and really heartwarming. Gonna finish up the last two episodes tonight! :)
