Miao Miao City

Playing Daft Punk- Get Lucky on youtube now. Although its quite an old song, I suddenly like the song for its simplicity and upbeatness. Wkaka. "The Voice: Kids" have lots of amazing voices on the show too. So talented.

Since I haven't blog bout my previous trip, I'm gonna blog bout my two Sarawak trips in Dec and April.

My recent trip, around 10 days, was relaxing and enjoyable. We went there mainly for qing ming actually but as a vacation too. :) Our relatives took the time off from work just to bring us around everyday and keep us occupied all the time. It was really nice of them to do so and it makes me feel touched that my mom's side relatives are always so knitted together as a family. This trip was an outing spree from morning til night everyday. Albeit tiring, it was enjoyable.

I tagged along with my relatives while they went for some traditional massage therapy at two different places. I didn't kena urut of cos but I go observed only while they cringe in pain. But it was really interesting to see how it works. Hahhaha. We also went for window shopping at the many newly-opened shopping malls despite the small crowd of shoppers, had late night suppers at food courts (Food Court 101 is the best), got sunburnt one side after spending the whole day with the necessary rituals for qing ming (cos I kept facing the sun on one side), tried out many new delicacies and food, visit a night market, travelled to green mountain temple, attended many family dinner treats, bonded with my cousins and aunties, babysit my little baby cousins and went around town filling our time. Before I know it, 10 days were already up. Neways, I didn't know babysitting kids was that energy-consuming. When they're playful and energetic, it can be really tiring to keep up with them but as they suddenly fall asleep or keep quiet, its really does feel odd that they're making no noise.

My previous Sarawak trip in Dec was a special one too. We went there for two weeks so we had more time to do things. Aside from planning for my cousin's big day (her wedding) and attending that function, we had the chance to go on a long bumpy road trip stopping at many small towns on the way (I oso dun remember all the places alrd) but it was a memorable trip because it was a different experience which almost felt like an agricultural homestay trip. I remembered my butt aching while travelling on those bumpy, small roads since I was sitting at the last row of the van and there were potholes in those roads along the way to Sarikei. We spend two nights at my aunt's family's house in Sarikei. We got to pluck our own fresh fruits of many varieties, ate a bunch of them, trek through those lush vegetation plantation areas and had a big feast. After the feast, I remember feeling so full that I bathed and went straight to sleep after that. Hahha. What to do, we were staying in a place surrounded by forest anyway.  Other than that, we stayed a night at Damai beach, met up for a few family gatherings for different occassions, celebrated christmas and four birthdays including my mom's which was homemade bbq. Yummy! :) And also, overnight at my family home which is also my closest cousins' house.

I dunno when my next trip will be but I will definitely treasure these memories. I always feel a little heavy-hearted after my trip to Sarawak is over mainly because I love the noise and company there.:) Despite the language barrier wif my aunties, I think my mandarin also improve slightly after my recent trip. Haha.=) Somehow, the older I grow up, the more I realise how I appreciate my holiday trips to Sarawak. Maybe because I feel that as we're growing up, the less chances we'll have to go on family trips like these. Especially for a long period. Like how only my parents and I went for this trip when it was the whole family last time. Neways, I had a a great time over there. :D

I've also submitted my applications for uni already. Somehow, I can feel one chapter of my life is closing and a new one is about to start. I haven't blog about form 6 yet also. Aahs. One day I will.:)

Currently in the midst of the final two episodes of To The Beautiful You which is actually showing on 8tv too but its only quarterway through. Its actually the Korean version of Hanakimi (the taiwan version starring Wu Chun and its a drama which I really liked last time). So it shares the same basic storyline of a girl disguising as a boy in a boy's school to meet the athletic high jump star. Similarly, this version is really cheerful and funny. Hahaha.:) I absolutely like the 2nd guy lead and main girl's friendship becos its just realli cute and cheerful. Wkaka. :D But the main guy lead is cool too. Hehee. However, the only problem with this drama is that it certainly falls short in terms of plot and character development in some ways compared to my other favourite dramas or the Taiwan version. Still, its worth watching and really heartwarming. Gonna finish up the last two episodes tonight! :)
